Various Roles - Accountant and Tax Return Specialist
TaxAssist Accountants is a firm of accountants specialising in small business accounts and personal tax. We believe 'doing accounts, payroll, self assessment' is simply a given - our clients come to us and stay with us because of our huge focus on customer service.
We are looking to fill various roles in both our Corstorphine and Goldenacre offices.
Specifically we are looking for a part qualified or qualified accountant with practice experience to work in our new Goldenacre office. Training will be provided on our systems, software and approach.
We are also looking for someone to specialise in personal tax returns at our Corstorphine office. Although, ideally, this person will have a financial background the successful candidate for this role will receive full training.
The successful candidates will join a highly successful team helping deliver outstanding service to an ever expanding portfolio of clients.
All our roles have a very large customer service element to them. Our business clients quite rightly demand quick and accurate responses to queries whether by telephone, email or face to face.
Our personal clients rely on us to produce their tax returns, quickly and accurately; making sure they pay exactly the right amount of tax.
The successful candidates will have to balance delivering customer service that is second to none whilst still achieving productivity targets.
Core skills needed to be successful in these roles are: customer service, time management, prioritisation, team working, communication skills (written and spoken), the ability to work under pressure - especially in January and adaptability to new and varied challenges.
Additionally, our new accountants must have the ability to create sets of accounts from records provided using templated working papers and following set processes.

The successful candidates will join a team of ten accountants, bookkeepers and administrators, although our Goldenacre office is brand new and will have its own team of people.
